St. Padre Pio Parish and The Port invite you to an evening for prayer and reflection with scripture. Latin for "Divine Reading," Lectio Divina is a time-proven method of prayer in which we slowly and prayerfully read and meditate upon the scriptures. The goal is to increase our knowledge of God's word and deepen union with Him through it. In this form of prayer the scriptures come alive and speak directly to those praying with them. Traditionally, Lectio Divina has four separate steps: read; meditate; pray; contemplate. For our group we will also have the opportunity to share what the Lord is saying to each of us.
Whether you are new to Lectio Divina or have experience with it, you are welcome to join our prayer group.

There is also a 6:30PM Mass at St Pio Parish if you would like to attend prior to our gathering.
