Leaves Valentine's Heart Walk

Before the walk, I'll add you to a Whatsapp group so I can keep track of who is attending and make sure we're all together to set off! I'll be at the Lodge Cafe at Hyde Park Corner by 10:50am, and will send you a photo of me and where I am so you can find me =) we'll then aim to set off by 11:10am at the latest (message if you're running late!)

We will be meeting by a cafe, so do come a little early to grab a coffee and use the toilets if you want to. The walk will then last a bit over an hour. I'll be sharing some Valentine's history, some Hyde Park facts, and a gorgeous map of the route for you to keep. I'll also provide some snacks to keep your energy up along the walk!

We will walk across the south edge of the park, to where we'll start with the point of the heart! It will cross the Serpentine, go by the Italian gardens, around the Round Pond and back to the south edge to complete the shape. If you'd like, you can use Strava (or similar) to capture the heart shape! I can also send it to you afterwards.

The walk is mainly flat. We'll be on a mix of paths and grass (making the heart shape will require a bit of off-roading) so please wear practical shoes, and make sure your clothes work for the weather on the day (we'll be walking, come rain or come shine!)

This isn't a dating event, and is open to couples, singles, friends, constellations - everyone. If you meet the love of your life on the walk though, then I'll be delighted for you!

NB - you are responsible for your own safety on the walk - if you have any health conditions or injuries which might make an outdoor walk dangerous, take this into consideration and let me know. Please bring along water for yourself if you'd like some (I won't be able to carry water for the whole group - too heavy!) You're welcome to join or leave the walk at any time.
