Festival Dates November 28 – December 24, 2025 (Friday after Thanksgiving through Christmas Eve)

Illumination Period The half-million lights are illuminated daily from 6:00 AM until 11:00 PM from Thanksgiving through the last day of February 2026.

Cost No charge to visit the village and see the lights.

Insider Tip For a quieter experience with snow-dusted views, the lights are still on every day in January and February, making it a great time to visit without the large crowds.

1. The Village of Lights

• Half a Million Lights: The entire Bavarian village is draped in a spectacular display of holiday lights, creating a truly magical atmosphere.
• Lights are Always On: The lights are illuminated daily from 6:00 AM to 11:00 PM, Thanksgiving through February.

2. Holiday Entertainment (Weekends & Weekdays)

• Gazebo Entertainment: Enjoy live choirs, bands, musicians, and carolers at the Gazebo in Front Street Park.
• Fridays: 4:00 PM – 8:00 PM
• Saturdays & Sundays: 11:00 AM – 6:00 PM
• Strolling Carolers: Professional carolers stroll through the downtown village:
• Mondays – Thursdays: 5:00 PM – 7:00 PM (No carolers on Christmas Eve).
• Festhalle Concert Series (Ticketed): The Festhalle hosts special ticketed holiday shows, including:

3. Visits with Santa & Friends

• Grand Arrival: Santa, Mrs. Claus, Rudolph, Frosty, and friends arrive at the Gazebo downtown every Saturday and Sunday at 12:00 PM (noon), Thanksgiving through Christmas Eve.
• Photos with Santa & Mrs. Claus (Daily):
• Weekends (Sat/Sun): 12:00 PM – 1:30 PM at the Gazebo, and 2:00 PM – 4:00 PM in the Festhalle.
• Weekdays (Mon-Fri): 2:00 PM – 2:45 PM along Front Street and at the Gazebo, and 3:00 PM – 4:00 PM in the Festhalle.
• Note: Santa will be at Christmastown through December 23rd, and all activities end early (by 3:00 PM) on Christmas Eve.

4. Christmastown at the Festhalle

The Leavenworth Festhalle is your central hub for holiday cheer and a great place to warm up, featuring:

• Gingerbread House Exhibition (Starting December 4th)
• Kids' Crafts and a Story Corner (Christmas Story Time at 1:00 PM on Mon-Sun)
• Letters to Santa and dedicated Selfie Stations/Photo Opportunities
