The perfect follow-up to Blacksmithing 104: Intro to Knife-Making, learn to make a neck-knife sheath to fit your one-of-a-kind knife! In this 3-hour class, students will use a variety of leather and leather braiding techniques to make a sheath that fits smaller knives. Don’t forget to bring the knife that you want to sheath! Skills learned in this class include fitting, cutting, hand sewing, beveling and burnishing, and if time, dyeing. The class is $120 and has a minimum number of students set at 2 with a maximum number set at 6.
The instructor for this class is Amy Bright. In addition to leather crafting, Amy teaches belly dancing and runs the website Bright Eyes Art.
Please note that there is a $25 materials fee due to the instructor on the day of the class.
