LEARNING TO TRUST THE RIVER
Why Safety Feels So Uncomfortable and How We Begin to Let Go
A 3-Hour Somatic Experience
Have you ever noticed that when life finally begins to settle, part of you becomes uncomfortable?
You receive support and immediately wonder when it will disappear.
You have a little extra money and immediately start preparing for it to be gone.
Things start working out, and your mind begins searching for the next problem.
You are not broken.
For many of us, survival became familiar long before safety did.
The nervous system learns to scan, prepare, brace, control, fix, and anticipate. Over time, those patterns can become so familiar that peace, support, and safety begin to feel uncomfortable.
In this 3-hour experiential workshop, we will explore why letting go can feel difficult, why receiving support can feel uncomfortable, and how we begin building trust with ourselves, our bodies, and our lives.
Together we will explore:
* Why safety can feel unfamiliar
* The hidden ways survival patterns show up in everyday life
* Hypervigilance, overthinking, and control
*.Why receiving support can be harder than doing it all alone
* The difference between control and trust
* What safety actually feels like in the body
* How trust is built one experience at a time
* Featured Somatic Experience:
The River and the Riverbank
Through guided somatic exploration, reflection, nervous system awareness, and embodied practices, participants will discover:
• What they are currently holding onto
• Where they are gripping for control
• What feels unsafe about letting go
• What support already exists in their lives
• How to begin loosening their grip without forcing surrender
• What trust feels like in the body
This is not about positive thinking.
This is not about pretending everything is okay.
This is not about forcing yourself to let go.
It is about understanding why holding on became necessary and creating enough safety to begin softening, one breath and one moment at a time.
You do not have to leap into the river.
You do not have to force surrender.
You only have to become curious about what it might feel like to loosen one finger from the bank.
Because healing is not always about learning how to do more.
Sometimes healing is discovering that you no longer have to carry everything alone.
* Investment: $75
As a thank you for attending, participants will receive $25 off a 90-minute Somatic Reiki Session (regularly $125).
Join us for an afternoon of awareness, embodiment, reflection, and transformation as we explore what it means to trust the river.
Limited seating available.
