Ready to give your favorite clothes a little more life? Join us for Part 2 of our Sustainable Fashion Learning Lab series, featuring a hands-on mending workshop with Professor Julia Ravindran, Program Manager and Associate Professor of Fashion Design at Marymount University.
Professor Julia will begin with a brief presentation and recap of sustainable fashion, exploring how simple choices like repairing and reusing clothing can help reduce waste.
Then, roll up your sleeves and learn basic hand-sewing and mending techniques at our interactive mending stations. Professor Julia and her students will be stationed at the tables to help you practice your new mending skills.
Light refreshments and one drink ticket will be provided to each attendee, courtesy of Ballston BID, while supplies last.The drink ticket may be redeemed for Happy Hour beverages or a non-alcoholic drink.
