Join us for an informative session in person with an online option with best-selling sci fi/fantasy author Jack Campbell (John G. Hemry). John will present his lessons learned from extensive revisions to the six-book Pillars of Reality series. The Dragons of Dorcastle was the first book written by Jack Campbell. The "steampunk with dragons" story needed a lot of work on characters, story arcs, background, setting, and the all-important MacGuffin, but knowing what to do and how to do it required a lot of experience with writing books in other series. Learn from his mistakes so you won’t have to make them yourself! (Note room change to room 206 from our usual room 205.)
Jack Campbell (John G. Hemry) is a retired US Navy officer who writes the New York Times best-selling Lost Fleet series and whose books have been translated into fifteen languages and have sold four million copies worldwide. His most recent novels are In Our Stars (first in the Doomed Earth series), Implacable (third in the Lost Fleet Outlands series), and the story collection Rendezvous with Corsair.
