This session demystifies the context window from first principles: what it is, how tokens work, and why it leads to hallucinations. More importantly, you'll leave with simple, practical techniques to get more consistent and reliable results - including how to structure conversations, front-load key information and use summarisation to keep things on track.

Suited to anyone using AI in their day-to-day work - particularly those working on longer projects, complex tasks, or anyone looking to get more consistent and reliable results from their AI conversations.

• Use targeted summarisation prompts to preserve key information
• Front-load and repeat critical constraints in long conversations
• Structure prompts and projects to avoid context loss

• 0–10 mins: What is the context window? (Concept introduction, whiteboard analogy)
• 10–20 mins: Tokens explained - how AI 'reads' text
• 20–30 mins: Why long conversations go wrong - hallucinations and context drift
• 30–45 mins: Strategic summarisation - live demo and examples
• 45–55 mins: Practical techniques - front-loading, importance weighting, project structure
• 55–60 mins: Q&A and takeaways
