Learn WICCA - An introduction to the Spiritual Side of Magic

Marty Couch has taught this class for Loyola University for the past 8 years and he is bringing an expanded version to the Magickal community. Here's what we will cover:

1. Theology
   What do Wiccans believe? What is the backbone of our practice? We will take a deep dive into Wicca's theology then and now.
   
2. Mythology
   Let's talk about the stories that inform our theology. What are some of the stories that teach us how to live our daily lives?

1. Ritual
   How do we re-create and honor our stories? What is the purpose of a ritual? Let's dig down to the real reason.

1. Mysticism
   From the Cabalists in Judaism to the Suffies of Islam, there have always been those who look for the deeper meaning of religion. Who are our modern day Mystics?

We will be ending the event with a Wiccan Ritual.

Marty Couch took the leap in to Wicca on June 21, 1987. Since then he has earned his High-Priesthood in the Alexandrea Tradition of Wicca. He has also studied Elemental Wicca extensively. He ran The Center of the Elemental Spirit for 17 years as a gathering place for Solitary Practitioners. He has been features on the now closed Witchvox, in the Chicago Reader and on WGN. He looks forward to sharing with the community.
