Open to everyone 16 and over! MUST BE AVAILABLE TO ATTEND BOTH DAYS!

Join us Saturday and Sunday, May 6th and May 7th, 2023 to learn what it takes to become a Los Angeles County Ocean Lifeguard!

We are excited to host our annual academy! You can meet other candidates on the path to becoming a LA County Lifeguard, network, get a great workout, and find out what it takes to excel in this incredible career.

The Women's Lifeguard Prep Academy (WLPA) will be conducted Saturday and Sunday, May 6th and May 7th, 2023 from 9:00 a.m.- 3:00 p.m. at the Dockweiler Youth Center, 12505 Vista del Mar, Playa Del Rey, CA 90293. LIMITED SPACING AVAILABLE. Reserve your spot now...Registration will close on Sunday, April 21st at 5 pm or when capacity is reached. You must be able to attend both days to register.

Required WLPA Uniform and Attire:

• Participants, are required to order a complimentary boardshort or one-piece bathing suit. All orders must be submitted by April 27th. A coupon code will be emailed by April 21st.
• You will be issued one tee shirt on the first day when you sign-in. This will be the uniform for the prep academy (Sizes will be selected when you register here).

• Sunglasses
• Sunscreen
• Towel
• Hair tie for long hair
• Waterproof watch

****Lunch will not be provided, please bring your snacks/nutrition/meals for the day.

****Be prepared to swim in the ocean, run in the sand, and do various physical fitness exercises (which may include push-ups, planks, sit-ups, burpees, etc.)
