About this Event
In this beginner-friendly soldering workshop, you'll explore the basics of electronics while developing essential soldering skills. Through hands-on experience, you'll assemble your own airplane-themed "blinky" PCB badge featuring the versatile 555 timer IC. Additionally, you'll learn how to design and simulate your own circuit schematic using the CircuitLab online tool.
What You'll Learn:
1. Soldering Basics with a Plane-Themed Soldering Badge
Get hands-on experience with soldering as you assemble a fun, plane-themed electronic badge. You'll learn essential soldering techniques, including safety measures, handling a soldering iron, and creating clean, strong solder joints.
2. Conceptual Understanding of Integrated Circuits and Electronics Foundations
This class will cover key electronics concepts such as Ohm's Law, circuit theory, and current flow alongside the inner workings of resistors, capacitors, LEDs, and ICs.
