Learn to Solder II Class - Caps and 2 Way Parts (Sega Game Gear)

The project is focused on replacing caps within a Sega Game Gear. It will not be a complete teardown or repair. We discuss parts and help you start the repair. However, students will be on their own time at home to complete the rest of the Game Gear project.
This second soldering class is for beginning to intermediate students. We will avoid non-related topics for game repair for this class. If you have not soldered before, please sign up for the Learn to Solder I class.

Registration will be at the store prior to the event with payment due (cash) upon registration. No refunds unless we are unable to hold or reschedule the event.
Cost:
$275 per person - includes Sega Game Gear (parts system) and instruction
Late registration: $325 per person - includes soldering kit and DYI kit - if any any spots are available
Details:
The in-store class will be 2.5-3 hours of individual construction with guidance and instruction from the store owner.
Registration has begun. Please pay (cash) at the store by the registration end date (five days before the class).
Each student will be guided on how to complete the project. However, the project will not be able to be completed within our class window. It is expected to be finished at home.
There is no guarantee the system will be working by the end of the project. Project will not include IPS upgrades or customization.
Videography and photos of the presentation will not be allowed. Pens, paper, and digital notes are welcome. Photographs/videos of individuals working on the project and the completed projects are welcome and encouraged to be shared on social media.
Parents may assist minors (14-17) with a project if they only want to pay for one kit. Parents or guardians must stay with their kids during the class.
We reserve the right to refuse participants who work for competitors (e.g., game resellers), and registration will include disclosure of current employer. However, we will reserve the right to exclude or remove anyone advertising for other stores/firms or discussing politics. This will be a friendly forum.
There is danger involved working with the soldering wand so a waiver will be signed at registration time. We reserve the right to change terms as this will be our first class and will use it to firm up for future classes. Participants will be required to sign a waiver to participate.
