Always wanted to try sewing and don’t know where to start? This welcoming, beginner friendly workshop is the perfect first step. You’ll learn essential sewing skills while making your very own practical tote bag from scratch. We’ll cover how to safely use a sewing machine, thread and set it up, sew straight seams, follow simple instructions, and finish your project neatly.Suitable for complete beginners or those that would like to refresh their skills, Ali will guide you through every step at a comfortable pace. All materials are provided, including the use of a sewing machines if required, sewing tools, pattern to take home, a curated selection of fabrics to choose from and a label to add personalisation, so you can simply arrive, relax and enjoy the creative process! You’ll leave with new skills, a handmade tote to be proud of, and the confidence to keep sewing.
Class sizes are 4 – 6 participants, depending on the class, to ensure you all have the support and guidance that you deserve!
Note: You are encouraged to bring your own machine if you have one. Please check your machine is in good working order and that you have spare needles and bobbins. There are 4 machines available to borrow, supplied by Ali, so please choose to book one if you need it when
you buy your ticket.
