Join us on Tuesday afternoon or evening for Learn To Quilt!We will complete a French Braid Table Runner project in 6 classes:
1. Introduction - How to read a pattern, How to choose fabric for a project
2. Cutting - Rotary cutter safety, learning to cut accurately, maximizing fabric
3. Piecing - Finding an accurate 1/4 inch seam allowance, Piecing and Pressing
4. Piecing - Continuation of Lesson 3 Plus How To Add Borders
5. Quilting - Straight Line Quilting
6. Binding - How To Finish Your Quilt With Binding, Different Binding Styles
Class dates are Sept 27, Oct 4, 11, 18, 25 and Nov 01.
We supply the rotary cutters, rulers and cutting mats, iron and ironing boards for you to use during class. This way, you can try before you buy and get tools that work best for you.
All of your fabric requirements are included in the class fee, you may need to purchase matching thread.
You will need to have a sewing machine in good working order (Lesson 3 and beyond) as well as a Walking (Even Feed) Foot (Lesson 5) to be able to quilt. Also a Basic Sewing Kit.
We have a limited number of Elna Experience 450 sewing machines available for rent. Please contact us for details.
