In this class, we'll cover a basic overview of the craft of letterpress, from typesetting of metal type, to inking & printing on an antique press from the 1930s. Participants will work collectively to finalize a poster design for printing, created with a variety of pre-set metal and wood type, and have an opportunity to customize the design. Each participant will print a copy of the poster, hand-printed on an antique press, to take home. This workshop is open to all skill levels and is best for teens+.
