Alexander Technique is the technique for posture - learn to move with greater ease, more freedom, reduced pain*, more awareness and enjoyment.
This free talk and live demonstration will:
* introduce Alexander's simple techniques and show how they work
* show how you can improve posture by making less, not more, effort
* include simple exercises to raise awareness of your own postural patterns that you can live better without.
The talk is an introduction to a 6 week course starting January 2025 at Saddleworth Museum and Gallery.

* A randomised controlled trial of back pain sufferers published in the British Medical Journal in 2008 showed a reduction from 21 days with pain per month to 3 days after 24 Alexander lessons. Benefits were long-term, being maintained at least a year after lessons finished.
