About this Event
Join us at OTL on March 24th to learn to hem your own pants. We will provide all the tools, supplies and instruction - you bring the pants that need heming. No zipper replacements will be undertaken in this workshop.
This is a beginner friendly workshop. Your registration includes 3 hours of instruction plus the materials and equipment to learn to mend. By the time you leave, you will feel more confident in your ability to mend those pants that might otherwise have ended up in a landfill.
Your instructors, Angela, Ann, and Mary, are all experienced and avid sewists. You may know them from our super popular Repair Cafés. They look forward to sharing their knowledge and having fun sewing with you.
NOTES:
a) Workshops are transferable to another person and only refundable if we have people on the waiting list who can take your spot. Please make sure this date works with your schedule.
b) Member-rate tickets are reserved for current Ottawa Tool Library members. If a non-member registers at the member rate, we will follow up to collect the price difference plus a $15 administrative fee.
c) If you are registering for a young person, please note that children under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult with a ticket for the same workshop. Children under the age of 13 are not permitted in many of our workshops (other than Tinkering School and some demo nights). Please reach out to us if you have questions about the person you wish to buy a ticket for BEFORE you purchase a ticket: [email protected].
