Have you ever wanted to learn how to dance?
To feel more confident in your body, hang out with friendly people and listen to gorgeous Blues music?
Do you like to properly dive into something, immerse yourself and notice a huge shift over the course of a day?
If so, join us on the 6th October and Learn to Dance Blues in a Day.
We'll be running four hours of friendly, informal classes, taking you from the absolute Blues dancing basics and fundamentals through to having fun dancing to live music on the social dance floor. You don't need to bring a partner - everyone dances with everyone else. We teach in switch, so you'll get the opportunity to learn to both lead and follow. The classes will be suitable for complete beginners, although people who are more familiar with Blues will also benefit from a chance to refresh and hone their skills. If you do other kinds of dancing you'll notice improvements in the quality of your movement there too.
Doors open at 1.30pm. We'll start the first class at 1:45 and will run three classes with breaks in between, then have a longer break from 6:15 - 8 so you can grab some food. Bring snacks!
We'll then dance the evening away to gorgeous Live Blues music from Southpaw Slim. You can check them out here: https://www.facebook.com/search/top/?q=southpaw slim. The evening social is included in the ticket for the full day, or you can buy a ticket just for the dance.
Tickets are only £25/£20 for the full day. We want to make dancing accessible to everyone, so we run a self-selecting concessions system - if money is tight feel free to pay the discounted rate.
