Learn to cook for university
About this Event
Spaced over 2 weeks, this set of 3 compact, 2 hour lessons will teach you the fundamentals of cooking and how to make simple and healthy dishes; all to help nourish your body and mind, so that you can get the most out of university as well as saving money.
Each session will cover practical cooking skills in a group, where you will make a few staple, healthy dishes that you can then recreate whilst you're away.
Lesson 1 (20th August)- Knife skills and fundamentals of cooking with curry and a pasta ragù
Lesson 2 (25th August) - Food hygiene/safety, sauces and meat cookery with Chinese Chicken stir fry, Mac and cheese and pork shoulder.
Lesson 3 (27th August) - Recapping learning with cottage pie, chicken in white wine sauce and fish pie.
