About this Event
Ready to move past downloading files and start creating your own 3D printable designs. This beginner friendly class will teach you how to model your ideas in Autodesk Fusion so you can bring them to life on a 3D printer.
This session is for ages 16 and up and is adult focused. No prior modeling experience is required. You do not need to know how to use Fusion yet. You just need it installed and ready to open when you arrive.
Important note for this class
Bring a laptop
Have Autodesk Fusion already installed and updated before class begins
Create or sign in to your Autodesk account ahead of time (free to download: http://fusion.autodesk.com)
If you are unsure which version to install we can point you in the right direction in advance
What you will learn
How the Fusion workspace is set up and how to navigate it
Sketching the basic shapes that become real 3D objects
Extruding and modifying parts to match your idea
How to think like a designer for 3D printing success
How to export files that are ready to slice and print
This class is perfect if you want to design custom parts, cosplay pieces, art objects, replacement items around the house, or you just want to unlock what your printer can really do when you control the design yourself.
