Learn how to recognise when someone may be at risk of suicide and respond in ways that help increase their immediate safety and link them to further support with Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training (ASIST) from Livingworks.
Our 2-day small group workshop follows high-quality, evidence-based training that will teach you to apply a suicide prevention model. This training can help individuals, organisations, and communities protect and keep people safe from suicide. Anyone can learn and use ASIST.
During the 2-day workshop, youโll learn:
โกUnderstand the ways personal and societal attitudes affect views on suicide and interventions.
โกProvide guidance and suicide first aid to a person at risk in ways that meet their individual needs.
โกIdentify the key elements of an effective suicide safety plan and the actions required to implement it.
โกAppreciate the value of improving and integrating suicide prevention resources in the community at large
โกRecognise other important aspects of suicide prevention, including life-promotion and self-care.
