While rush weaving has its roots in organic materials like bullrush or cattail, we will use pre-twisted natural seagrass as a wonderful alternative, ensuring your stool retains an authentic vintage feel.

About the Artist:

Crys Harse (Calgary, AB) holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts from the Alberta College of Art + Design. As a metalsmith and basket maker with a passion for form and surface texture, she is drawn to vessels and small-scale sculpture. Crys explores the connections between metalsmithing and basketry, as well as her ongoing work with etched and wrinkled surfaces. Influenced by weaving and basketry, her work interlaces different disciplines, blending textile techniques with metal properties to create the unexpected.
