About this Event
This is an invitation to slow down.
Join us for a cozy, hands-on Sashiko mending circle at Tremain Smith’s studio. Using this traditional Japanese hand-stitching technique, we’ll learn to visibly mend garments with intention and care, through honoring imperfection and extending the life of what we wear.
Whether you’ve never held a needle or you’re already mending at home, this workshop welcomes all experience levels. We’ll move at a gentle pace, with time to breathe, sip tea, and be in community.
We’ll provide everything you need to get started:
- Sashiko needles and thread
- Scrap fabrics for patching
- Design transfers from Approved Textiles printed on water-soluble stabilizer
- Guidance from Sarah Tremain
- Tea and good vibes
Just bring one garment you'd like to mend.
$45 per session
Includes all materials and tools to use during class.
Spaces are limited to keep the vibe cozy and focused.
