About this Event
Cook With Annie M
Annie M. A Story of Resilience, Roots, and Real Food
Born in Uganda, East Africa to an Ismaili Gujarati family, Annie Muljiani came to Canada as a child refugee. Immersed in East African and Indian culinary traditions from a young age, she became passionate about wholesome cooking—and eventually joined the family business Galloway’s Specialty Foods.
As global food culture shifted and awareness around allergens and dietary lifestyles grew, Annie saw a need to reconnect people with the origins and joy of food. She transitioned the company to Galloway’s Wholesome Foods® into fully online e-commerce business aiming to educate and inspire through cooking blogs, recipes, and hands on cooking classes.
Across the Indian Ocean exploring East African flavours:
Join Annie Muljiani with a cooking class taking you across the Indian
ocean to the flavours of East Africa (Mombasa, Island of Zanzibar and
Uganda) We will be taking you to where the coconuts grow and
building flavours around coconuts, bananas. Discover spices that grow
in Zanzibar, Tanzania like cumin, coriander, cloves and nutmeg.
Be prepared for a class full of Swahili words and fun East African
stories.
