Enjoy a day with your sewing machine and learn lots more about its capabilities. This day is very suitable for someone who is a beginner around their sewing machine.
This course is suitable if you are a beginner in the art of sewing or want to refresh your skills. Perhaps you have a new sewing machine then this is the class for you.
If you are a real beginner then you will learn how to:
• set up and thread a machine and how to wind a bobbin
• set the correct tension
• troubleshoot common problems
• sew perfectly straight seams and how to finish them
If you have attended a similar course in the past, Geraldine will help you build on your knowledge with your machine. Using sewing techniques as well as enhance your confidence with your sewing machine.
Geraldine will further your knowledge about how to sew, including using different embroidery stitches on your machine, putting a zip, button holes, using a twin needle and how to cut bias binding and how it can be used. You will also learn about the accessories that come with your machine. Plus lots more.
