Gouache is an extremely old paint and it is very easy to use WHEN you know how. This workshop will teach you that. All materials included.
About this Event

Saturday 18th July
9am - 4pm (lunch break 12-1pm)
Everything supplied, you simply BYO drink/food or buy snacks from cafe below.
Location at Royal Queensland Art Society (RQAS), 3/162 Petrie Terrace, Brisbane.

Please note: NO wheelchair access for this event.

When you arrive you will receive a recycled container as your palette, 6 new brushes to use plus old and new mixed media paper. You will keep all these items. You share the paints with the rest of your table, squeezing out onto your palette.

Program outline:
9.00am - welcome
9.30am - begin colour swatching and understanding how to layer gouache as well as using it with no layering.
12.00pm - lunch break
1.00pm - Start 2x small gouache paintings
4.00pm - Class finishes

Jane (Mrs Red) is a qualified Art Teacher and Illustrator and teaches Sketchbook Satchel both at RQAS Broadbeach on a Monday afternoon along with 1st & 3rd Wednesday at Banora Point Community Centre. You will also be given links to Mrs Red's Patreon page, watch vlogs on the YouTube channel and if you are on SkillShare look up gouache classes that Jane teaches on there.
