LEARN DUTCH AT TAALHUIS AMSTERDAM

The Dutch course schedule for the new year is now available on our website! Starting 12 January, you can begin or continue your Dutch language journey with Taalhuis, right in the heart of Amsterdam or online.

We offer Dutch courses for levels A1 and C1 and everything in between. Do you want to work on fluency? The A2+ conversation or B1+ conversation course may be what you're looking for.

German speakers can find our Fast Track courses back on the schedule.

For B1 learners there is storytelling course and and our B2 students can explore what the Dutch discuss in our Podcast course.

And to kick-off the new year, in the week of 5 January, there is an A1.1 immersion week and an A2 boost course.

DUTCH KICK-OFF WEEK

In the very beginning of 2026, we have 1 week of kick-off courses; in the line-up is an A1.1 immersion course. In 5 days of 3 hours of lessons per day you will work through the complete first level. It's an efficient way to kick start your Dutch (and if you like you can move on to an A1.2 course starting in the week of 12 January).

You will also find an A2 boost on the schedule. This mini course is a great way to get back on track after a break!

Dutch A1.1 (immersion): 5-9 January > €285,-

LEARN DUTCH FROM A1 to C1+

Our courses and levels follow the Common European Framework of Reference’s (CEFR) official levels and topics. We divide the levels into short courses, making sure you will focus on the subjects and communicative situations that suit your level and needs. You can opt for one lesson per week or two lessons per week, online or on location. Find more information about each level on our website:

NEW COURSE: C2.1!

With this brand new book we will take the step beyond level C1! We will work on the first two chapters of this book, which are 'de hersenen' and 'communicatie'. Expect focus on the details, synonyms, expressions and of course interesting conversations with your teacher and classmates on a high level.

DEEPENING COURSES

It can be a big leap from A1 to A2, from A2 to B1, from B1 to B2 or from B2 to C1. We therefore designed deepening courses to help you consolidate your Dutch and really master the necessary communicative skills before you move on to the next level. These deepening courses are also very suitable if you've studied Dutch in the past but need to refresh!

CONVERSATION COURSES

Weekly conversation courses are perfect for those who want to improve fluency. Every week, you will be talking about a different topic. No new grammar will be introduced, and homework is optional. Visit the links below for more details and to register!

STORYTELLING (B1+)

In this course, you’ll use storytelling as a way to improve your conversation skills – as well as your creative writing through optional homework exercises.You can be as creative as you like!

Storytelling is also an excellent method to practise grammar skills such as the use of word order, subordinate clauses, and different past tenses.

FAST TRACKS

FOR GERMAN SPEAKERS

Are you from a German speaking country or do you have a (near) native knowledge of the German language? Then you’ll probably be able to learn Dutch faster than other students, thanks to the many similarities between our languages. We will use your German knowledge as a starting point and focus on the differences between German and Dutch. You'll cover two levels in one course. But be ware of these language traps!
