Learn Basic Block Printing

Learn the basics of block printing (also known as linocutting or stamp making) with College for Creative Studies Graduate, and Sunshine & Sage employee, Sean. You'll get to work on this butterfly pattern to create your own "stamp."
You'll learn:
-Basic carving safety
-How to transfer the design onto your block to carve
-Why removing block material is more like peeling a cucumber than digging in the dirt!
-How to apply ink and hand-press your design (no press needed)
What you get with this class:
-block printing instructions & pattern
-block print kit with cutter, extra rubber blocks, and print paper that you get to take home with you to keep practicing
-your own carved block to take home and reuse
-you'll get to print your design and take it home with you
Because of the use of sharp tools, we will require an additional waiver to be signed at the start of class.
