Learn Basic Alterations
Beginner-friendly sewing workshop
Learn how to give your clothes a better fit in this hands-on beginner-friendly class! Students will learn the basics of clothing alterations, including simple hemming, taking in garments, and making basic adjustments to improve the fit of their clothes.
* YOU WILL NOT BE MAKING ALTERATIONS TO MAKE CLOTHES BIGGER*
This class is perfect for anyone who wants to build confidence using a sewing machine and learn practical sewing skills they can use at home.
Prerequisite: Students must have some prior sewing machine experience or have completed Sewing 101. This class is not intended for individuals with no sewing machine experience.
Students are encouraged to bring a few clothing items they would like to learn how to alter.

Meet Your Instructor
Ms. Regina is a fashion design graduate, sewing instructor, and founder of Sew Free Co. She has been teaching sewing since 2019 and enjoys helping people develop their skills and creativity through sewing. With a passion for garment construction, Regina loves showing students how to turn fabric into something they can wear and feel proud of. Join her for this hands-on hoodie-making class and learn new skills while creating a hoodie of your own!

Refund Policy

• Transfers to another class follow the same refund rules as your original date.
• 14+ days before the first class: Full refund.
• 7–13 days before the first class: Refund minus a 50% administrative fee.
• Fewer than 7 days before the first class: No refunds.
• Seat transfer: If you find a replacement who pays for and takes your seat before the first class begins, you are eligible for a full refund.

Class may be canceled due to low enrollment, in which case a full refund will be issued.

Cancellation Policy

MakerSpace reserves the right to cancel any class with insufficient enrollment. If a class is canceled by MakerSpace, fees are 100% refundable.
