FLASH POINT: GOLDEN STATE HEROES
Ages 10+, 2-6 Players (based on BGG listing, box says 1-4 players)
California is a place unlike any other, with sunshine, celebrities, forest fires, earthquakes, and everything in between. Unique situations call for unique heroes. An elite firefighting squad trained to deal with the unusual situations that only a place like this can produce. Operating out of the beachfront city of the sun-drenched SoCal city of Los Aventura, these brave firefighters are ready for anything. When danger arises and requires the utmost skill, determination, and grit, Gold Company gets the call.
Flash Point: Golden State Heroes is a co-operative game of bravery and heroism. Included are six unique game boards representing a gauntlet of challenges for the courageous Gold Company in Southern California. Additionally, this set provides action-packed boosts and new customizable gear to create countless combinations of unique firefighting heroes.
During each game, all players are on the same team, winning or losing together. To win, the players must rescue trapped victims before the fire gets out of control or the scene breaks down completely.
Flash Point: Golden State Heroes is a standalone game that introduces the "Ignition System", a non-legacy method of creating endless customized firefighters and using thematic event decks tied to each map in the game.
TALES FROM THE RED DRAGON INN
Ages 14+, 1-4 Players
Put down your flagons and strap on your swords, it’s time to delve through some dungeons in Tales from the Red Dragon Inn! A new 1-4 player cooperative board game by SlugFest Games!
In Tales you will take on the role of one of the famous characters from The Red Dragon Inn series of games as they tackle their day job of being big damn heroes. The multi-scenario campaign pits the players against game-controlled enemies tailor-made for each illustrated fold-out game map. Each scenario will take you to a new map, with new foes and even a few tricky puzzles to solve. You'll need to work together with the other players by equipping hero and item cards to support your allies who have their own unique abilities and roles.
Each scenario has specific objectives, so how you and your party beat each one varies from "K*ll all the enemies" to "survive X turns" to "protect this thing until something happens" to "get to this room on the map". All of the players win the scenario together by completing that scenario's final objective. They can also all lose together if any one of them are defeated in combat, or in the case of many scenarios, the enemies complete their own AI-controlled objective.
