Learn about Mars, NASA Missions, and Programming a Rover Model!
About this Event

Mars is more than the red dot we see in the sky — it’s a world of ancient giant volcanoes, deep canyons, and even ice caps. Today, it’s also home to active robotic explorers! In this 90-minute STEM presentation, kids will learn all about Mars, the missions by NASA and other space agencies, and what scientists are discovering right now. We’ll see videos on the planet's fascinating history and NASA missions, drive a live rover model, and learn about robot programming.
• What Mars is really like and how it became that way.
• How satellites and rovers were sent to Mars and controlled.
• What we’ve learned from exploration so far.
• How engineers program rover behaviors, and we can too!
• What the future may hold and how you may be part of it!
Interactive: Kids 10-16 will find this fun and fascinating. They can ask questions throughout, help drive a rover model, test navigation challenges, and see how AI helped write a custom program for the rover.
