LEAP SPORTS SCOTLAND OPEN BADMINTON TOURNAMENT

Edinburgh Racqueteers will host the National LGBTQI+ Open Badminton Tournament on Sunday 25th June at St George School, Edinburgh, EH12 6BG, as part of LEAP Sports Scotland’s Festival Fortnight. This informal doubles badminton tournament is for all abilities and skill levels but you will need to bring a racquet and also you must be over 18 years old to enter.

Please note – mixed doubles will be playing against same sex doubles. There will be no separation. Firstly, everyone will play in a round robin and after a lunch :-), this will be followed by playing in a league style competition. The top 8 from this will progress to the quarter finals and so on. There will be a trophy awarded to the overall winners.

As this is a fun event, it will be a blind partnership which means your badminton partners will be allocated on the day. We also plan to have a social get together afterwards, likely at a local bar with food options.
