Eleven years after their debut album League of Space Pirates is back with a blistering 25th century rock-n-roll rebuke of our present moment. Detritus features ten songs for the intergalactic rebellion: a rallying cry for the oppressed of the galaxy to resist and thrive.

Shedding the electronic core of their previous outing, LoSP is embracing their Old Earth inspirations with a fully organic sound. From the garage rock rebellion of Iggy and The Stooges to the punk rock pathos of X and the sci-fi styling of the B-52s and The Rezillos: Detritus is a non-stop ride til the end of the world as we know it.

About the band

Described as “GWAR meets the B-52’s, raised by Buck Rogers,” League of Space Pirates is a band of interstellar scallywags blasting high-energy rock-and-roll straight from the 25th Century. Led by the enigmatic Captain Orlok, the crew of the Detritus fronts a sonic battle against the tyranny of Übercorp. Created by artist Noah Scalin, this multivalent, transmedia collective delivers rebellious grooves and theatrical chaos in service of saving the galaxy! League of Space Pirates features humans Captain Orlok and Chroma on vocals, Rusty on guitar & bass, and Pavo Cristatus on Drums, as well as animate meat creature Mungo on bass & guitar, synthetic humanoid Parrot on keys and of course our sentient satellite P1-KLS (AKA Pickles) on electric ukulele, because why not?
