Leading Across Difference
About this Event
What you’ll explore
- The cultural influences that shape your own worldview, and how cultural differences show up in workplace friction
- Your positionality, social identities, and sources of influence
- The emotional, relational, and structural sides of inclusion, and why psychological safety matters
- Allyship skills for responding in the moment when something doesn’t sit right
How you’ll apply it
You’ll practice with real workplace scenarios and leave with simple, memorable tools you can use the next day: the Most Respectful Interpretation (MRI) for navigating misunderstandings, and OWN (Observe, Wonder, Navigate) for showing up as an active ally. Each participant will also set personal commitments for strengthening inclusion on their own team.
Who it’s for
Nonprofit leaders and staff, plus any community members who want to strengthen their intercultural skills and help build workplaces where everyone can thrive.
