Leading with People First is a one-day workshop that will take your leadership journey to the next level. This is a training that is all about putting the people element back into leadership. This will shift your mind from dictator leadership to servant leadership (don’t worry, we’ll discuss the differences) and how to take those first steps down your leadership journey. This is a program solely built on my learnings from 18 years in Corporate America along with my 10+ years in leadership roles. This workshop is very involved. There will be questions, worksheets, action plans, case studies, and lots of discussion. We learn from each other.

WORKSHOP OBJECTIVES:

 • Explain what “Leading with People First” means
 • Model “Establishing a Connection”
 • Illustrate the Power of a 1:1
 • Managing through Conflict
 • Model the Coaching/Feedback Method
 • Apply Accountability
 • Explain the Importance of Building Trust
 • Self-care as a Leader
 • Plan “Your Leadership Story”

This workshop is very involved. We will have “ah-ha” moments together. We will cry together. We will laugh together. We will learn together. Leadership is emotional and we must first learn to accept that. Once we accept, we can then open our minds to endless possibilities.

You will leave this workshop feeling inspired, prepared, ready to execute your plan, and ready to master your leadership story! Working in the Wedding and Events industry is hard work. If you’re the owner of your small business, or a leader of a small business, these tools and resources will help you concur your challenges both internally, and externally.

Lastly, there is a coaching element post this program. This is time for you to meet with me 1:1 in a confidential space where we work through your plan, hold you accountable, and guide you through your challenges. This part is completely optional and more details on how to get setup for the coaching element will be discussed during the workshop.

JUSTIN'S BIO:

My name is Justin Hoffman and I currently work side by side with my husband Derek running our family business, Levity Events. I have been married for almost 15 years. We have three amazing children together. We live in Kanas City, MO (Liberty area). I love to travel with my husband and family. I have a strong circle of friends, that also keep me grounded, but bring me so much joy in my life. Additionally, I enjoy gardening, yard work, and movies!

Professionally, I joined Levity Events Spring of 2023 after leaping to leave “Corporate America” and help the family business as we continue to grow to the next phase of our business while also starting the framework to build my lifelong dream. In my prior life, I spent 18 years in the Ph*rm*cy Benefit space. I was in various roles but spent the last 13 years in the Account Management sector of business. I have over 10 years of leadership experience. In my past role, I was a Senior Director of National Accounts and was responsible for 92 people within my org. During my tenure at my last employer (RxBenefits), I was voted the most influential person/leader of the company (900+ employees) in 2021. Post that recognition, I was nominated and selected to attend the “Executive Leadership Academy” through Harvard Business School in 2022. I hold a certification through Harvard Business School for Executive Leadership.

My passion is people, leadership, process, and training (in that order). I have had a dream for the past decade to start my own Life Coaching business and to help other people/leaders become the best version of themselves as possible while also opening their eyes to other possibilities. This summer I am launching my own consulting business while also taking my leadership journey to the next level. In July I will start my Life Coaching certification through iPEC, and will be specialized in Leadership. This is a 9-month certification program, but I feel passionate about taking this to the next level so I can help people achieve their highest potential while I continue to expand my knowledge and resources.

Last summer (after a well-needed break from my 18 years with my past industry) I started to create my vision. The first step of this was to get all my ideas on paper and start developing a program for leaders who are eager to expand their knowledge and think through leadership from a different lens. My leadership journey is something that I’m most proud of in my professional career. The layout of how my leadership style formed was, that I took things that I felt great leaders did, and adopted them into my leadership style. I took things that horrible leaders did to me (or others) in my career and ensured I didn’t adopt those things in my leadership style. Finally, I took my own life experience, who I am as a person, and my intuition that overall made up my style. This is my passion and I’m eager to spread this knowledge and inspire others!
