About this Event
Unlock the potential of your team with our comprehensive Leadership Development Program. This series of six interactive sessions is designed to equip emerging leaders with the essential skills needed for success.
Whether the goal is to develop newly promoted leaders or to prepare individuals for future leadership roles, participants will gain valuable insights into effective communication, conflict resolution, coaching, time management, and more.
Each session provides practical tools and strategies to navigate the complexities of leadership, improve team dynamics, and manage change. This transformative program empowers teams to lead with confidence and make a lasting impact.
Who Should Attend
Emerging leaders, new managers, and professionals ready to strengthen leadership skills, build confidence, and grow their impact within their organization.
This course brings together professionals who register as individuals to learn in small, facilitated cohorts, engaging in practical, workplace-focused learning alongside peers from a variety of organizations.
This in-person series is held at Maricopa Community Colleges in Tempe, Arizona, from 1:00 to 5:00 p.m. on the following Thursdays:

The $950 registration fee includes all six sessions.

Effective Communication | April 2, 1:00 - 5:00 p.m.
In this workshop, participants will discuss and practice methods in Effective Communication to increase their competence and confidence when working on teams. Coaching will be discussed along with practice scenarios to develop effective communication skills.

Four Quadrants of Emotional Intelligence | April 16, 1:00 - 5:00 p.m.
This workshop will discuss the four quadrants of emotional intelligence. Participants will utilize practical strategies to help respond more skillfully and professionally as pressure, tension, and complexity affect workplace communication. Areas of focus will include recognition of feelings/emotions, reactions that affect work relationships, proper/appropriate communication, and taking responsibility for one’s actions.

Effective Decision Making | April 30, 1:00 - 5:00 p.m.
This workshop is designed to help participants make informed decisions using a well-thought-out decision-making process. Participants will learn to engage the right stakeholders, evaluate options, identify barriers, and make informed decisions grounded in data analysis. Relevant decision-making scenarios will be used to provide participants with a hands-on experience implementing a decision-making process.

Conflict Resolution | May 14, 1:00 - 5:00 p.m.
This workshop is designed to provide the tools and techniques needed by participants to effectively resolve conflicts in the workplace. The resolution tools and techniques will focus on improving communication, reflection, and behaviors associated with workplace conflict. Additionally, this training will teach participants how to manage emotions during conflict while working collaboratively toward a “win-win” resolution.

Team Dynamics | May 28, 1:00 - 5:00 p.m.
In this workshop, participants will focus on team building by developing effective listening skills, problem-solving, and creative thinking in a positive team environment. Participants will engage in small-group, activity-based learning that promotes interaction and communication to achieve specific team goals.

Innovative Mindset | June 11, 1:00 - 5:00 p.m.
In this workshop, participants will apply creative strategies to develop an innovative mindset. Focus areas will include: barriers to innovation, the role of ideation and the iterative process in design thinking, techniques to improve creative thinking, and the identification of innovation opportunities in daily business decisions.
