Leadership At Every Level Part 2 - One on One Leadership - Tech Sean Roeper

F.I.R.E. is excited to build on the momentum created by the 2025 Leadership at Every Level Lecture Series. This year’s series continues its exploration of the four facets of leadership: Self, One-on-One, Team, and Organizational.

Part Two features Technician Sean Roeper, a 25-year veteran of the Denver Fire Department and senior firefighter/technician on Rescue 1. Sean has dedicated his career to being a student of the fire service, attending and instructing at conferences across the country.

In One-on-One Leadership: Thoughts from the Backstep, Sean explores leadership from the pivotal role of the senior firefighter — where credibility is earned, trust is built, and influence happens one conversation at a time. Drawing from over two decades on the job, he will examine how mentorship, accountability, and example shape the firefighter beside you and, ultimately, the culture of the organization.
