Leaders Unplugged | What Design Does Next with Mark Bryan
About this Event
Mid-Atlantic, let’s talk about what’s next—starting in Baltimore.
We’re launching Leaders Unplugged, a new IIDA Mid-Atlantic mini-series built around candid conversations, bold ideas, and the leaders shaping the future of design.
First up: Mark Bryan, IIDA’s Chief Research and Strategy Officer and leader of IIDA Futures, for What Design Does Next.
Drawing from the inaugural Futures Readiness Index, Mark will unpack the forces already changing our industry—from AI and automation to measurable design outcomes, belonging, attention, cognitive load, and the evolving value of professional judgment.
But this won’t be a sit-back-and-listen kind of event.
Following the presentation, Mark will lead a collaborative working session where attendees will exchange ideas, identify shared and regional priorities, and help shape what our design community needs next.
Come ready to think bigger, speak honestly, and take part in authentic conversation.
The future of design is already taking shape. Let’s get in the room.
