Join James A. Garfield NHS staff and volunteers at Mentor Public Library on the second Wednesday of each month for a new talk on “Leaders & Legacies of the Civil War Era”! The Civil War impacted the arts—music, literature, poetry, painting, and more—both during 1861-65 but also long after the guns fell silent. In this presentation, learn more about the many classic pieces and styles of artwork inspired by America’s most defining event outside the founding itself: the Civil War.
