About this Event
About Night at the Rubell
As trailblazers in the community, Le Jardin Community Center is proud to generate awareness of the importance and impact of the Arts in education through creative interpretations.
The Art and Jazz fundraiser event is Le Jardin’s premier annual fundraiser where the members of the Board of Directors work collaboratively with Le Jardin’s key staff to plan and execute a unique experience. The rendition of artwork is a cultural enhancement activity and a collaboration between our educators, children and their parents, and community artists. This activity is designed to extend learning beyond the classroom and encourage exploration of the arts. The process begins at least 3 months prior to the event, with students and parents learning about famous artists as they participate in instructional activities and hands-on learning using motor skill development, self-repressions, and visual processing.
Artwork on Display and On Sale
Renditions of artwork from renowned artists such as Frank Stella,Dale Chihuly, Cathy Woo, and Joan Miro were created by our talented teachers, children, and their parents.
The creation of the artwork is a cultural enhancement activity designed to extend learning beyond the classroom and encourage exploration of the arts. Students and parents learn about different art techniques, how to manipulate colors, work with different mediums, and implement brush strokes.
Parent involvement is vital to the process of achieving the final product!
