LDVA's Women Veterans Celebration

The Louisiana Department of Veterans Affairs invites you to the Women Veterans Celebration, a day dedicated to recognizing and honoring the vital role of women in our military and in our communities.

Join us as we celebrate the dynamic contributions of our nation's heroes and gather to strengthen the network of women who have served.

**What This Day Is About**

This celebration will:

- Recognize and honor the service of Louisiana's women veterans

- Strengthen support networks among women who have served

- Raise awareness of the unique challenges women veterans face and highlight solutions

- Connect attendees with employment, education, and health resources

- Explore meaningful ways women veterans can continue serving their communities after the military

Transitioning women service members are encouraged to attend. The LDVA and our partners want to ensure that those still serving have direct access to the tools, people, and programs that support a successful transition.

**What to Expect**

- Special awards presentation honoring service and leadership

- Keynote address by Anna Sanders, U.S. Navy veteran, President of Louisiana Women Veterans, board member of Louisiana Honor Flight, and past commander of American Legion Post 38

- Free professional head shots and personal photos (feel free to bring military mementos or keepsakes to include in your photos)

- Resource fair featuring VA benefits, educational opportunities, and community support organizations

- Networking session connecting women veterans, industry leaders, and veteran-serving organizations

- Complimentary lunch

**Who Should Attend**

All veterans, transitioning service members, and veteran supporters are welcome. The general public is also invited.
