Alexis Ruiz started dancing and playing instruments almost before he could walk. Growing up in Antigua, Guatemala, his mother taught him to dance and teach together with her at her school Ritmo Latino. At the age of 12 he started teaching salsa/mambo and a diverse variety of latin dances and latin percussion. He has since then been teaching for over 25 years.
At the age of 17, he moved to Japan where he opened his own dance school and created his own Latin jazz sextet "Foribale". He became an ambassador for Salsa in Japan, and travelled the world representing Japan at different congresses. The name "Alexistyle" was given to him by Albert Torres. Mr. Torres later awarded Alexis with an honorary award for his work in Japan, while teaching and performing at Los Angeles Salsa Congress.
After 8 years in Japan, he moved to Norway. Here he introduced the musicality of Mambo to the salsa community in Norway, and his concept of Mambo Masterclass was born. Since then he has trained Norwegian champions, taught around the world on elite level, and created a vocabulary and a methodology that is completely unique. He is world famous for his lectures about "Salsa roots" where he dives into the history of both the music and the dance, and also the different musical influences in salsa.

In Norway he is known for playing with some of the best salsa bands like Sonora Cimarron, La Descarga, Banakao, Son on Fire, Son Candela and others!

Colombian dancer Juan has made the UK his home and resides currently in London. He is regularly seen teaching Salsa and Bachata around the UK and teaching at his own dance company called Latino Flava. Equally proficient in both Latin styles he has won the Spanish Salsa Championships twice and the UK Bachata Championships once.

A regular at events in the Yorkshire area, this man hardly needs an introduction! Originally from Latin America but based in Birmingham, Mauricio is the found of Latin Motion, the biggest Salsa outfit in the Midlands since it was established in the early 1990s.
Mauricio has been dancing and listening to Salsa all his life and has been teaching since the tender age of 17! As a DJ he is guaranteed to read the crowd, spinning a broad range of top Salsa, from NY to LA, Colombian to Cuban, etc. Mauricio has been DJing since 1994 and is a regular at many of the biggest salsa events in the UK and abroad.

Alberto & Jolie are international bachata teachers, based in Leeds. Alberto began his dancing journey 7 years ago and has been teaching in a number of congresses across Europe.
Jolie started dancing from age 4. Her background is professional Latin ballroom and street dance, but her passion has always been bachata. Those of you who have attended their classes before, you know for sure that you'll not only take away new steps but also going to have fun.

Born and raised in Russia, it was at university that Andreas got his first taste of Latin rhythms and fell in love with the Latin Culture.
Andreas has travelled all over the world as a dancer/ choreographer, and was Dance Cast Captain on US Cruise Ships.
He loves to dance, teach and perform.
Teaching Salsa, Bachata in Congresses and Festivals in the UK and abroad.

John and Emma teach weekly classes and specialise in New York style Mambo On2. They are also comfortable teaching crossbody On1 and Cuban Rueda. They love to social dance and are super friendly. John and Emma are also known for teaching Pachanga at uk dance festivals.

DJ Folivi has lived in Luxembourg since 2010 after moving from Paris. It was there that he took his first dance lessons and started DJing. He was introduced to the DJing scene by DJ Sergio at one of the most long-living socials near Paris.
Since then, he's been playing at many different events across Europe and the Middle-East. The LDS All-Dayer will be his first time DJing in England so we can't wait to welcome him to Leeds.

Of Spanish origin, living in the UK, Rosi grew up listening to latin rhythms. Her passion for Latin music led her to Salsa dancing and later to DJing. Rosi is co-founder of Humba Rumba Salsa and has run regular classes and events since 2003 when DJ Rosi made her debut at Hull’s infamous night spot The Lamp alongside DJ Esdiaz.
In 2014, Rosi and Paul launched the Humba Rumba NYC nights at an amazing dance venue in Selby. These have become known as a place to find quality music for both on1 and on2 cross body dancers.
Rosi is resident DJ at NYC and FIEBRE LATINA plus she is a regular favourite at other events and congresses in the UK and abroad. With her ability to read the dance floor, Rosi plays music for the dancers she has in front of her and will keep the floor busy all night long.
