LCPS Presents- Middle Years of the Astoria Regatta

Sip the past with us, enjoy a cocktail and explore a little bit of Astoria's history. Lauri Serafin will be presenting on the "Middle Years of the Astoria Regatta," which commenced in 1932!
This program follows the previous session, "The Early Years of the Astoria Regatta, 1894 - 1916," held last August at Pacific Distillery and in April at Fort George for CCHS.
After a 16-year hiatus, the Regatta event made a triumphant return in 1932. The Astoria Yacht Club, founded in 1931, played a crucial role in organizing the Regatta. Attendees can look forward to a delightful showcase of old photos, fascinating stories, and captivating newspaper headlines! Additionally, the selection process for the 1932 Regatta Queen was quite remarkable and certainly didn't unfold as expected!
The program begins at 7 p.m. at Pacific Distillery, but be sure to arrive early to grab a seat, order a cocktail, and celebrate the Astoria Regatta! Remember, *"You Gotta Regatta!"*
