Last year, we held the first-ever Layne Staley Tribute East at the Crystal Ballroom in Somerville.We hoped it would be special.
What happened in that room was something else entirely.
People came from all over New England carrying decades of connection to this music. Old memories. Old grief. Old friendships. The feeling in the room stayed with us long after the night ended.
So we’re doing it again.
Layne Staley Tribute East returns November 7, 2026 to the Crystal Ballroom in Somerville, MA for another night honoring Layne Staley and Mike Starr through the music that meant so much to so many of us.
As always, proceeds will support addiction recovery work and families affected by the opioid and fentanyl crisis.
This event exists because of the Seattle Layne Staley Tribute community that welcomed us in and inspired us to carry something like this forward on the East Coast.
