About this Event
Join Center for Indigenous Midwifery and Blue Cactus Press for Laying Down Stories: a writing and emotional processing workshop for BIPOC families and birthing folx. This workshop is offered in two iterations:
VIRTUAL: March 24th, from 11am to 1pm.
IN-PERSON: April 7th, from 10 - 11:30am in Tacoma (1901 Jefferson Ave, #105, Tacoma, WA).
Registration is free and required! Participants can expect to engage in guided writing prompts, verbal storytelling and witnessing exercises, and somatic writing exercises focused on releasing energy and emotions surrounding birth experiences.
The workshop will be facilitated by Chris Vega, a writer, storyteller, and local publisher at Blue Cactus Press, with content created in collaboration with birth workers from Center for Indigenous Midwifery.
