Just Announced! Three Day Hands-On LAYERED SURFACES Workshop with Taylor Sijan at Clay Art Center.
Monday July 6, Tuesday, July 7 and Wednesday, July 8
10am - 5pm each day
Learn to add rich depth to the surface of your ceramic work and expand your decorating skills with this immersive, three-day workshop with Taylor Sijan. Explore techniques including stamping, slip trailing, carving, and underglaze painting using paper resists on tile. Gain hands-on experience and watch instructor-led-demos on composition and choosing color-palettes. Limited registration available.
Taylor Sijan is a full-time studio artist from Catawba Island, Ohio. She earned a BFA in 3-D Arts from Bowling Green State University (2016) and an MFA with ceramics emphasis from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln (2021). In 2020, Taylor was named one of Ceramics Monthly’s Emerging Artists. These days, Taylor enjoys traveling to teach and demonstrate techniques to students at many learning institutions and studios.
