Layered Creations is a relaxed, open-format art experience designed to encourage creative freedom and self-expression. In this session, you’ll explore layering techniques using a variety of materials—paint, textures, and mixed media—to build a piece that’s entirely your own.
Hosted at Canvas & Company, the environment is welcoming, social, and creatively energizing. With light music and a comfortable pace, the session allows you to experiment, take risks, and develop your ideas without pressure or strict instruction. Guidance is available as needed, but the focus is on creating freely and discovering your own style.
This is not a step-by-step class—it’s a space to explore, layer, and create boldly at your own pace. Whether you’re trying something new or expanding your creativity, the experience is designed to meet you where you are.

All ages are welcome. Recommended for ages 10+ due to the materials and creative independence involved. Participants under 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
No prior experience is needed—just come ready to experiment, create, and enjoy the process.
Materials Provided:
We provide all core materials including kid- and adult-friendly scissors, construction paper, recycled paper stock (magazines, newspapers, envelopes), glue, hot glue guns, and assorted embellishments such as buttons and textured elements.
Guests are welcome to bring additional items they’d like to incorporate, such as personal images, stickers, or specialty materials.
To maintain a clean and comfortable studio environment, we recommend avoiding loose glitter. Glitter paper and similar materials are welcome.
We encourage thoughtful material selection to keep the experience elevated and enjoyable for all participants.
