Lawrence Weston Book Club presents 'Jayne Chard - Clues in plain sight'
About this Event
CLUES IN PLAIN SIGHT: A Mystery Writing Workshop
A fair mystery doesn’t hide the truth. It lets the reader see the truth before they understand what it means.
Drawing on her storytelling experience, Jayne Chard, award-winning film and TV producer and author of the Julia and Frankie mysteries, will share the secrets of fair clues, irresistible red herrings and unforgettable sleuths.
Whether you’re plotting your first cosy crime novel or love a clever whodunnit, you’ll leave with the blueprint for a mystery of your own.
No detective experience required!
Jayne Chard is a multi-award-winning film and TV drama producer. Her credits include the BBC flagship brand, Silent Witness and three feature films. In addition to a successful film and television career, Jayne was integral to setting up a veterinary clinic on the remote island of Koh Tao in Thailand. She also worked as a radio presenter. Jayne lives in the West Country with her partner and two mad cockapoos. She is already busy writing the next book in this cosy crime series.
