💙 Law Enforcement (LE) Appreciation Event: 💙Date: Friday, May 16, 2025
Time: 9:00 AM-12.30 PM (approx. end time)
Meeting Spot to kick off delivering items/give thanks to several local LE agencies -- Chico Police Department- 1460 Humboldt Rd, Chico CA 95928; route info will be given to those participating in deliveries at a later date.
📆 Our event date falls within or is adjacent to the following events related to recognizing and remembering Law Enforcement staff and we want to honor our own local LE staff too: Correctional Officer Appreciation Week and National Police Week and National Peace Officers Memorial Day.
Please feel free to SAVE THE EVENT IMAGE TO YOUR CAMERA ROLL to keep the info for yourself or if know someone not on social media who would want to donate or help out in some way.
🆘 DONATION REQUESTS- The following items below OR the donation of funds 💸 to purchase them: :
1. Coffee Gift Cards 💳

4. Nuts (Individual snack packs) 🥜
5. Jerky 🥓

7. Other sweets 🧁
8. Homemade or store bought ‘Appreciation/thank you cards’. We encourage parents, grandparents and caregivers to have your kiddos/those in your care make cards with cute drawings. 🖼️ 🎨
9. ‘Thank you’ Posters - Again, adults and/or kids making these make awesome visual gifts for the LE staff to all enjoy! 🪧

Our donation goal is to gather enough for 450 goodie bags to include all the agencies noted. 🙌🏼 If you wish to donate items versus money, please PM me (Nichole Nava) and I am happy to coordinate drop off or pick up of your donated items in advance of the event date so our team can ‘stuff’ the goodie bags in advance. 💙 🎁 💙
EVENT Objective: We have a LE Support committee who, along with other interested helpers from our community, will make the delivery of the DONATED ITEMS ABOVE first to the Chico Police Department, then the CSUC University Police Department, the California Highway Patrol Chico division and in Oroville the Butte County Sheriff’s Office (BCSO) Jail Deputies and Patrol Deputies & both their respective support staff, and end the event at the CHP- Oroville division. Those making the deliveries will give our thanks in person for the work our amazing local law enforcement do every day on behalf of our community and present them with our gifts of gratitude. We have done this event before and the LE staff and the helpers LOVED it! We have expanded it to more entities and encourage other communities to do the same!
The goal is to role model an appreciation and respect for our law enforcement community and help adults AND kids connect in a positive way with those charged to keep us safe!
