Sydney’s biggest day cruise is back — Lavern: Inception Sydney!

We’re setting sail on the iconic Inception boat for an unmissable afternoon on the harbour, headlined by the one and only Lavern.

Laurens Elshof, aka Lavern, is a 23-year-old producer and DJ from the Netherlands. Inspired by his small hometown village near Amsterdam, his music combines dance and energetic nightlife vibes with more chill and sunset feelings. In 2021, Lavern started his musical journey with an opening track Move Me that reached more than 30M streams on DSPs and went viral on Instagram Reels (760K videos). Release after release, he’s been able to develop an audience of 4.6M monthly listeners on Spotify and reached more than 170M streams, thanks to his very unique stutter house music. One of his latest songs Hold Me is one of the leading tracks of the stutter house movement and reached more than 50M streams on DSPs in 7 months, benefiting from a lot of support on TikTok and Instagram Reels. He never stops developing his sound and exploring new vibes, as his latest releases show: the dreamy and contagious remix of La Leçon Particulière by Francis Lai, and the intense Human, released on Martin Garrix’s record label STMPD RCRDS.

Introduced to EDM music through Avicii’s True album, he started producing music on his computer at age 13. After attending an Afrojack set at the Ziggo Dome in the Netherlands, he started DJing and organizing his own parties. Before Lavern was born during COVID-19 in a more electro-chill aesthetic, Laurens developed his DJ and producer abilities. He had the opportunity to perform regularly and have his songs played by some of his favorite DJs including David Guetta, Armin van Buuren, R3HAB, Nicky Romero, and more.
